She gave a speech promoting key aspects of the bill like an assault weapons ban and other strict gun control measures. She took time to mention her other bill that would help address the growing homelessness crisis in Rhode Island by making it easier for people to get affordable housing throughout Rhode Island. She ended her speech promising to continue to fight for progressive values and policies that help Rhode Islander families.
