TRUMAN TAKES ON HAMAS IN NEW RESOLUTION

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Senator Truman Sizemore took to the Senate today to introduce a resolution, being the first to call on the body to explicit condemn the terrorist organization Hamas. The resolution explicitly condemns the October 7th attacks, as the greatest mass killing of Jewish people since the Holocaust, and reaffirms the United States' commitment and support for one of its longest standing allies.

"There is no room for hate in America," said Senator Sizemore. "We had no problem calling it out in Charlottesville. We shouldn't have a problem calling it now."

In light of escalating violence and growing tensions in the region, Senator Sizemore emphasized the importance of standing firm against terrorism and promoting stability in the Middle East. The Senator also emphasized that the actions of Hamas did not represent the Palestinian people and that Hamas is responsible for the hardship that has been wrought on both Israeli and Palestinian civilians.

Aiming to harness the pre-existing bipartisan momentum to drive meaningful action on the issue, Senator Sizemore believes that a unified stance is essential in addressing the complexities of the situation in a manner that reinforces the United States' role as a leader in promoting peace and bringing a swift resolution to the ongoing conflict.
